The Company - Our Client:
Our client is a leader in the design, manufacture, sourcing and supply of world class high-speed broadband communications solutions on behalf of major cable communications companies.
The Role - Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Carry out extensive evaluation on pre-production sample, fault analysis, recommend solutions and report writing and to provide technical assistant to incoming Quality Control Team where necessary
- Ability to interpret R&D specifications and develop appropriate test procedures in support of 1st article testing
- Undertake approvals testing of 1st article production from suppliers
- Test report writing
- Documentation of Test Procedures for incoming QC (once product is approved)
- Ability to liaise with R&D and suppliers to address issues identified in 1st article approvals
- Provide technical support and direction in the identification of best practice test equipment and processes in QC and at suppliers
- Oversee the development and maintenance of QC test procedures
- Support decision making on incoming QC rejects
- Liaise with Asia teams and suppliers on QC issue resolution
The Person - Qualifications and Experience required
- Minimum 2 years experience in electronic industry as a test technician/ Engineer or Quality Engineer
- Familiar with Network analysers, spectrum analysers, EMC and environmental testing and international standards
- Knowledge of RF engineering and product testing is essential
- Experience in CATV would be beneficial
- Good time management
- Able to organise own work load and complete tasks in a timely manner
- The ideal candidate will be at least OND or HND qualified in Electronic or Telecom Engineering
The Package – What you could earn:
- Basic salary £22,000 per annum
