Our client is leader in the design, manufacture, sourcing and supply of world-class high-speed broadband communications solutions on behalf of major cable MSO and PTO communications companies worldwide.
The Role - Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Produce complete and quality engineering documentation in order to be able allow mass production to take place smoothly in an ISO 9001 registered company producing products with contract manufacturing partners in China and Taiwan
- Driving and Documenting Design
- Mechanical design documentation
- Oversight of R&D project documentation creation
- The Documentation Engineer creates engineering documentation, based on input from the R&D engineers
- The emphasis of the role is to make sure the documentation fully describes products completely for preproduction through to mass production importantly allowing a strict documentation regime for change control
The Person – Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
- Has technical a education and knowledge of electronic design and manufacturing processes
- Extensive experience in technical drawing
- Should have proven communication skills, be representative for the company and have an outgoing attitude
- Sees it as a challenge to anticipate possible production issues and solve those by taking care of these at the documentation stage before actually starting pre- or mass production.
- Enjoys creating technical documentation, in combination with technical design and test activities
- Attitude for meticulous detail and checking everything
- Writes and speaks [both Dutch and in case of Dutch based] English fluently
- Have experience of standards in design for manufacture (making sure designs are ready for mass production) smoothly
- PCB and SMD design rules
- RF design rules (desirable but not essential) manufacturing documentation standards
- Engineering drawing
